Over the weekend, I had an outing with Hunter Kendall and Brian Richard. We noticed the water temperatures have cooled back off to 53 degrees but that did not stop the fish from chewing. It was a really slow/dead bite around the high tide but as soon as it started falling the bite was on! We caught over 30 fish with most of them being upper slot redfish. Many of these fish were caught on mud minnows and bass assassin lures. There were also quite a few black drum mixed in. These fish all came off of cut shrimp. At the end of the day, we caught some trout in the concrete canals on topwater lures. Ocean Isle Beach Fishing Charters are coming up soon! Spring and warm weather are right around the corner, so call 910-540-7332 to reserve your spot.
