We had a window today to hit the stream, so we brought along good friend Andy Rogers. Hit the 100/400 but had no luck for about an hour and half. Then ran to the Macmarlin about 40 miles away. We had no luck there, but we were lucky enough to find a weedline and hit a small school landing 3 of 4 Mahi on a quadruple up. They all were between 12 and 20 pounds. On the way home we hit the bottom fish picking up some Black Bass. The May Mahi bite we have always known might be late this year, it is not on fire like it has been in years past. The Spanish Mackerel are here though near Shallotte Inlet and probably along the other inlets.
