Offshore Report

Wow! We had a great end to 2018! On Sunday Capt. Tripp teamed up with Matt Canady on their Mercury Powered Onslow Bay, The Reel Exterminator. They reported an awesome bite that included tripling up on sails and quadrupling up on Wahoos. Like fishing goes sometimes, only two Wahoos made it on ice. They ended Sunday weighing a mid 30’s and mid 40’s fish for the Capt. Roger’s Wahoo Tournament. They returned Monday to a slow Wahoo bite, but there was some action with other species to keep things interesting.

On Monday myself and Capt. Hook teamed up with Preston and Julie Kendall on the Fishin Tradition. There was a slow Wahoo bite but we did end up with a mid 40’s. Where the Wahoo bite lacked, the Sail bite made up for it. Many boats reported multiple sail releases. We also got surprised by catching a kingfish and had 2 black fin.
